The Pesaro canal port is located on the right bank of the mouth of the Foglia River. Since it is a canal port, it is formed by two parallel piers, one east and one west, which determine the entrance to and exit from the “new dock.” This is used for mooring units and is bordered to the south by the Soria Bridge. The dock can accommodate up to 326 boats with a maximum length of 24m.
How to enter ports
Access is granted all day but you must apply for clearance from the Pesaro Harbor Master’s Office operations room by contacting channel 16 or calling 0721-400016.
Entry into port is safe from winds from Quadrant I due to the long east pier. With winds from quadrant IV, however, care must be taken when the unit must pull to starboard to enter the channel. This being exposed to winds and currents coming from the north-northeast, it may be subject to slight variations in water pulls.
Bans in the Pesaro canal port area
Fishing with nets and fixed gear of any kind is prohibited within this landing. Diving, water skiing and the area is not swimmable.
