Molise Port of Termoli
Termoli is a city of historical importance founded around an ancient fishing village.
Located along the coast of the Adriatic Sea, the Termoli port is a fishing and tourist port for recreational boating.
It is one of the few ports in Molise. The facility consists of three piers:
- The North Pier of the harbor: this is the breakwater.
This is where Termoli’s shipyards are located.
About 1,200 meters long, it consists of four arms that are docked on the inner side.
A 90-meter-long and 40-meter-wide tooth (internally quayed), called the hammer pier, was later added perpendicular to the head.
The latter is marked by a green light.
The quay between the arm and south pier is divided into two areas.
- A part used as a fishing port and for the landing of Coast Guard and Finance Guard boats.
- A portion reserved for passenger ships sailing to the Tremiti Islands.
- The harbor’s South Pier: operated by St. Peter’s Marina, it is used as a marina. It is partly docked. A 70-meter-long wooden pier was later added, along with two other hammer piers.
- The southeast pier of the port area is intended for both transiting fishing vessels and the mooring of decommissioned ships.
