Arona Dock – Landing on Lake Maggiore for small boats

With a natural rock pier for protection, sloping concrete shores that serve as a slipway, the Arona Dock is a safe harbor berth where to land and has a capacity of about 200 berths, for vessels of modest size (6-7 mt. max.). The infrasturcture, better known as Il Porto originated as a part of the third batch of works for the construction of the lakefront docks.

On the outskirts of Arona, towards the end of the 1960s, the old port was built, always used for storing the boats of those who like to sail on Lake Maggiore.

During night hours, the entrance to the landing is marked by a red light.

Access to the ports is difficult. The berth is in an obvious state of disrepair and neglect.

On Arona’s lakefront there are trappe for 50 to 60 berths where English mooring is also possible.

The city of Arona is a tourist-tertiary center on the shores of Lake Maggiore.
