The port of Meina Lido is a small-to-medium sized marina. The Meina Lido is one of the facilities on Lake Maggiore that attract a large number of Italian and foreign tourists. It is located a few kilometers from the Milano Laghi highway and the various links leading to Turin.
The lido is completely swimmable and has crystal clear waters, so much so that it is considered one of the cleanest areas in Verbano and even the best bathing area in the entire Lower Lake.
Inside the Lido di Meina, surrounded by beautiful period villas, you can enjoy sports recreational spaces and two small fields: one tennis and one soccer field, uncovered and with synthetic grass.
Lido guests can then make use of the two swimming pools, one outdoor and one shallow-water, the new equipment intended for the sailing course, rest in the beautiful clubhouse equipped with terraces directly overlooking the lake, or participate in the many sports activities that are frequently organized by the Lido management. The area is very green and well maintained.
The piers in the marina consist of floating docks, which offer some fixed berths and others used for docking or temporary parking. There are only 40 berths to date, but plans have been proposed to renovate and expand the port to extend the maximum capacity to 140 berths.
Easy access to the harbor and ample maneuvering space allow even large boats to move easily within the marina. The seabed, at times sandy and at other times muddy, is characterized by considerable depth.
Boaters will be able to use drinking water and toilets provided for them. In the immediate vicinity of the port there is a parking lot and one specially designated for motorcycles. Electricity and sewage disposal, however, are lacking.
The state of the docks is currently not in a properly optimal condition. However, there have been numerous proposals for re development and refurbishment of the port and surrounding area; the plan is to expand the existing docks so as to increase the number of berths available at the berth to 140.
Access is allowed to both powerboats and dinghies.
