Ports of Puglia: Bari
The old port of Bari originates southeast of the old city and is mainly commercial in character. It consists of the S. Antonio pier to the north and the S. Nicola pier to the south. Within it are two quays reserved for fishing, of 350 and 180 meters, separated by 180 landing points.
It has 230 berths for units up to 12 meters in length.
Since the landing is subject to silting there are periodic dredging works.
