Cala dei Sardi

A stable and safe landing place to moor in Costa Smeralda

If you do not know where to moor in Sardinia, a practical and eco-friendly solution is definitely Marina Cala dei Sardi. Located between Portisco and Porto Rotondo, inside the Gulf of Cugnana in the municipality of Olbia, Marina Cala dei Sardi is Sardinia’s largest completely floating and eco-friendly landing place.
The facility consists of two floating docks, which, thanks to the cutting-edge technology with which they were built, allow for wave dampening, guaranteeing comfort and safety for boats.
The Marina Cala dei Sardi offers 140 berths with lengths ranging from 6 to 60 meters and a maximum draft of 6.8 meters. The identified winds belong to the II, III and IV quadrants.

The Cala dei Sardi Marina is an innovative and modern landfall designed and built by Marinetek, a Finnish company famous for floating constructions in Miami and Dubai. The Costa Smeralda port was built with Seaflex technology and Breakwater pontoons, elastometer technology that eliminates galvanic currents.

Such eco-friendly constructions were chosen to offer a service that would, at the same time, be efficient for moorers but not ruin and disfigure the seabed of the Gulf of Cugnana renowned for its transparency. Breakwater pontoons, in fact, respect the wave motion of the natural currents in the area.

The dock services made available to boaters are varied and include:

  • electricity supply

  • water supply

  • mooring services

  • Assistance and listening h 24 on VHF radio channel 08

  • wifi

  • ground toilets

  • floating solarium

  • parking

  • weather service

  • Shuttle service connecting the marina with Olbia airport.

The waters of the Gulf of Cugnana are transparent and crystal clear. The beach is small and the shoreline consists of pebbles and pebbles. The picturesque setting is characterized by Mediterranean vegetation, a true oasis of peace in which to relax and find a unique and exclusive contact with nature.

There is a bar, restaurants, and a parking lot in the area, which, however, do not disturb the quietness of the place and respect its wild and unspoiled essence.
