Description

Marina of Stintino

Located close to the breakwater pier of the port of Stintino (northeast part of the port, Tanca Manna locality), the Marina di Stintino is a marina complete with floating docks and fixed quay. It has depths ranging from 4 to 10 meters at the transit pier and from 1.6 to 11 meters at the quay. It can accommodate up to 320 boats of different lengths (up to a maximum of 85 meters), 50 berths are reserved for transit boats.

The marina has all boat services: water and power outlets, ecological island for garbage pickup, gas station, security guard, toilets and showers, divers. Also available are engine repair services, electrical systems and wood and fiberglass hulls, outdoor or indoor storage, cranes from 30 to 45 tons, sail repair. The marina has a parking lot. Being located in the center of the town of Stintino, the marina provides easy access to all the town’s tourist services: supermarkets, a variety of stores, car, motorcycle and bicycle rentals, excursion reservations and buoy field in the Asinara National Park.

With easterly winds, access to Stintino’s harbor area can be difficult, and care should generally be taken with some of the obstacles present. A rock marked with green meda is located east of the ports. Attention should also be paid to the fishpond bordered by yellow medas located about 0.25 miles east of the ports. Once inside the breakwater it is good to keep away from the coast where there are shallow waters. At night the village lights make entry difficult.
The sand and rock bottom inside the seawall is good holding and it is possible to bottom anchor in case of overcrowding in ports.

Once inside the seawall, the two bights are visible, separated by a promontory, which house the two ports for fishing and pleasure boats, the old port called “Minori” (small), and the new one called “Mannu” (large), around which the town of Stintino is distributed.

The Marina of Stintino is an ideal port of call on routes to and from the Balearic Islands, especially when shelter from strong westerly winds is needed. Yachtsmen’s routes can avoid the circumnavigation of Asinara to enter and exit the Sardinian Sea, and cross the suggestive Fornelli passage, which with two alignments of four dromi allows passing between Isola Piana on the port side and Isola dell’Asinara on the starboard side (sailing westward), in a 3-meter seabed of crystal-clear water and in a landscape of breathtaking beauty. The first alignment is between two dromers positioned on the extreme southwestern tip of Asinara and aligned for 301ยฐ with an east-west course (121ยฐ with reverse rota); the dromers for the second alignment are positioned in the Fornelli plain with alignment 251ยฐ with an east-west course (071ยฐ with reverse rota). Transit from the Fornelli is prohibited overnight, and can be treacherous in rough seas.

The other passage created between the Sardinian coast and Asinara by Isola Piana, the Pelosa passage, is passable only by small units in calm sea conditions and is more difficult than the Fornelli passage.

The Stintino area is also an ideal place to visit the northwestern part of Sardinia, which boasts many places of natural and historical interest. Asinara Park and the gulf of the same name, Pelosa beach, Valle della Luna, Isola Piana, the Spanish towers built along the coast, and the town of Stintino itself to name a few.

Do you need to sell your boat? You are in the right place! yachtdigest.com is in fact the largest online portal on recreational boating and in this section you will be able to write your ad for free if you want to sell your boat. Adding a new sales message is very simple and intuitive as is finding a boat you are interested in buying, but to make your listing even more appealing, we want to give you some general but important pointers that you can follow if you wish.

First of all, try to personalize your ad, describing the history of the boat and perhaps the reason why you are selling it, this way you will gain more trust from the reader.

You can call it “half-new” if it is almost new, or “used” by specifying whether or not it is in good condition. It indicates the condition of the engines, the year of registration, how many owners it has had-most importantly, it indicates whether the boat has been owned by a single owner: it increases interest to those reading the ad.

The goodness of your craft must shine through in your message, because before you can convince someone, you yourself must be convinced that the product is good.

It is important that no spelling errors are made in the advertisement, so reread the message well before putting it online. The language then must be clear and simple, understandable to all.

It serves to attract interest and induce the reader to continue reading; it is the most important part and should summarize in one line the whole message we want to give. Unfortunately, you don’t have much chance to stand out much except with something really original to attract attention. So focus on truly original details of the boat, its real qualities: in the yachtdigest.com portal this brief summary will appear by hovering over the picture of the boat with the mouse.

It is important to clearly include the general record of the vessel. Always enter: shipyard, model, length, width, draft, engines, number of cabins, year of construction, price.

In the boat sheet accurately enter all boat details, standard and extra equipment. It is useful to communicate many details and details for those who are really interested and will continue reading beyond the first few lines.

Suggest to the reader who wants to buy the best features of your craft, and do not indicate-unless it is necessary to inform the buyer in advance-information that might negatively influence the reader.

Always indicate the price. Unless you absolutely do not want to deal, we recommend adding the words “price negotiable” which gives an incentive for the buyer to contact you.
