Isola di Vulcano – Porto di Levante

In the Levante Port of the island of Vulcano is the city port and the Baia Levante Marina. There is an 85-meter breakwater, a hydrofoil pier, and marina docks. The port is exposed to the undertow of ships and hydrofoils.

There are no services for boaters in the public dock. The bottom is good-holding sand, with a minimum depth of three meters. Those leaving the ports have right of way and the maximum speed is 6 knots up to 600 meters from the dock.

The marina consists of floating docks with services for boaters such as water and electricity, and dead body mooring. One can also anchor, dropping anchor in the west, where the black sands beach is located. Here the depth is not regular and the bottom drops rapidly. Watch out for shoals.

Marina Baia di Levante welcomes sailing and motor yachts with lengths up to 60 meters and drafts up to 6 meters, for a total of 120 berths, all with water and electricity. You can call the marina upon arrival on VHF channel 14, so you can get docking assistance from the sailors.

It is also possible to have mooring and rope retrieval service. Trolleys for cargo handling are also available. Materials that the boater needs, such as ropes, mooring springs, anchors, nautical cleaners, etc., are also offered.

The marina is open from April to October. In addition, the services offered are diverse. There is 24-hour tender service for boats anchored in the east bay but also in the west bay. Mechanical and electrical assistance is guaranteed.

The Marina provides Rental of inflatable boats from 5.30 mt to 11 mt in length.

Helicopter transfer service is also available. Sea cab ports to the other Aeolian islands as well as to Milazzo and Reggio Calabria. Then car transfer from Milazzo to the airports of Palermo, Catania and Reggio Calabria. Finally, the waste disposal service. There is active cooperation with other landings, restaurants, and hotels throughout the Aeolian islands.

Hydrofoils and ships connect the island with the other Aeolian islands, Milazzo, Messina, Reggio Calabria, and Naples from the port of Levante.
