Il Porticciolo is in Sant’Agata Militello, in front of the Aeolian Islands, less than 30 miles from Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Filicudi and Alicudi.
Just 2 km from the Porticciolo is the tollbooth (Sant’Agata Militello exit) along the Palermo-Messina highway. Palermo airport is only 165 km away, Catania airport 205 km away, so the Porticciolo is the ideal solution for embarking family, friends and clients without obliging yourself to long and expensive sailings. Shuttle service to/from airports is also offered at reserved rates. The train station, on the other hand, is only 1.5 km away, and a stop is provided for all trains, from regional to Intercity to/from northern Italy.
The Marina is protected by a very long breakwater pier almost 7 meters high. The entrance is wide and safe in all weather conditions. The red buoy, with night flashing light, located about 150 meters east of the head of the pier, should be left to starboard on entry and left on exit, as prescribed by a Coast Guard order.
The depth is always between 4 and 7 meters. Mooring is mainly done on state-of-the-art, concrete, continuous-floating floating docks to provide maximum stability and safety.
The floating docks have numerous service columns for water and electricity supply, 16A- 32A -63A single-phase and three-phase. The entire area of the Marina is covered by free WIFI service.
Particular care has been taken in the mooring and is achieved by using only galvanized chains in the underwater section, limiting the use of polyester, high-tenacity rope in the aerobic section only. The solution adopted ensures an extraordinary damping effect due to the length of the chain and effectively excludes the mooring lines from being damaged by de
l contact with bulbs, keels and/or propellers. The Marina is open year-round and provides service through its own professional and multilingual staff.
At the Marina you will be able to receive proper mechanical, electrical and electronic assistance, free shuttle to major supermarkets, laundry service and reserved parking.
