Porto Rossi is located in the center of Catania in the vicinity of Piazza Europa. M.E.C. Auto di Rossi P & c SNC better known as Porto Rossi was built in 1961 by Cav. Pietro Rossi, thanks to his passion for naval art.

According to Pietro Rossi, a shrewd expert on marina construction, it was not possible to sell recreational boats and marine engines without the presence of a recreational boating complex.

Along the Catanese shoreline, in the center of the city, a landfill formed, called caito by the Catanese, characterized by natural gullies caused by lava flows in the 1300s and 1600s. Ideas, hard battles and firm conviction mean that a landfill is now a charming oasis called Porto Rossi.

The port has 250 berths, 250 in dock and 200 on land, from mt. 5 to 25 mt.

To enter the ports, it is necessary to follow the access corridor marked by buoys; during the winter months the mouth is obstructed by rocky material due to storm surges, so access is particularly difficult.
It is prohibited to enter ports at reduced speed.
