On February 27, 1973, in the city of Alicante, a small group of water sports enthusiasts met for the purpose of starting a new sports entity, which they agreed to name: CLUB NÁUTICO ALICANTE “COSTA BLANCA.” The main purpose, as stated in the social documentation of that time, is the promotion of sports activities among the children of Alicante, through the purchase of boats; stimulating young people to get athletes to help maintain the sports pavilion of the city of Alicante, in all nautical sports activities. The Alicante Costa Blanca Yacht Club was born with a clear sports vocation and especially in those sports and activities that have the sea as the basis and element of its performance.
