The origin of Puerto Banùs dates back to the 1960s, when its founder Jose Banùs began building a luxurious residential area called Nueva Andalucía. His meeting with Noldi Schreck, architect and designer of the legendary Beverly Hills neighborhood, generated in the entrepreneur a more ambitious, exclusive and international project. Puerto Banús was founded on the concept of the city, Mediterranean in Andalusian style, with luxurious boulevards adorned with colorful gardens, bathed by the sea. The ignaguracion of the complex placed in the pipe in 1970, with more than 1,500 guests including members of the Spanish royal house. Rainier and Grace of Monaco as guests of honor and the young Julio Iglesias who delighted the attendants with his music.
