The ports of Portbou are located south of Portbou Bay to touch the Punta de Gatillepis, the neck of the Puig del Claper mountains, and the Puig del Halcón between the ridge and the urban core of Portbou. The coastal front consists of abrupt cliffs of great height with some inlets interspersed. The Port’s activity is characterized by the mooring of sports boats and the launching of all types of boats, as it has a large tonnage “Travell lift” and a wintering land area, which attracts fishing boats and other boats from the surrounding ports. The Port has a connection with the Edar (sewage treatment plant) in Portbou in both directions, i.e., with water boosting, boat cleaning or toilet reuse.
