Darsena Fusina is a private tourist dock built in the locality of the same name at the mouth of the Brenta Canal.
For those coming from the Malamocco (or Chioggia) port mouth, follow the San Leonardo and Litoraneo canals for about 12 kilometers and you will find the dock on the left.
For those arriving instead from the Lido port mouth, the route is a bit longer: you pass through the San Nicolรฒ canal, the San Marco basin, the Giudecca canal and then descend the new Fusina canal.
The channels that serve as access to the landing are marked with bricolas, but these are not overlaid with light indicators. This makes the identification of port access more complex during night hours and in foggy weather.
The dock consists of a docked part with a total length of 420 meters and eight wooden piers. The dock has many facilities for guests, including an outdoor storage area-for a total of 400 spaces-and car parking for those coming from the mainland. There is no fueling source in the area, but one can be found less than a kilometer from the dock.
The Fusina dock is an excellent starting point for reaching the Lido area or for going to Venice, either by one’s own boat or by one of the vaporettos that reach the Venetian island in the Zattere area from here in about 20 minutes.
There is also a vaporetto line to Alberoni, a location near the Malamocco inlet.
La Darsena is located within a tourist complex that houses a camping area equipped for tents, campers and caravans with a view of Venice and a village organized with mobile homes and caravans of various sizes, some of which are equipped with private bathrooms and kitchenettes.
Within the camping area there is also a restaurant, a diner, a bar and a convenience store.
The laundry, with coin-operated washing machines and dryers, is located within the toilet area.
It is also possible to use- upon reservation- a bus service for those coming from or needing to go to the airport.
The entire camping area enjoys the relaxing and refreshing presence of a beautiful area of greenery, made up of lawns, bushes, and many trees. Most areas of the campsite enjoy a beautiful view of the Lagoon, with Venice, Giudecca and various smaller islands.
In 2014, Fusina became the destination of a new Motorway of the Sea terminal for the passage of cargo and passenger ferries.
