Marina di Navene is a facility located along the shores of Lake Garda, along the northeastern coast, in the hamlet of Navene, an integral part of the municipality of Malcesine.
It is part of the Fraglia Vela Marcesine complex, a sailing and nautical club with a distinctive architectural structure: seen from the street, in fact, it appears as a small grass-covered hill.
The facility offers 280 mooring berths, for bulb boats, offshore boats, and powerboats that are less than 7 meters long.
The docks are all floating, and moorings can be either temporary or annual, or seasonal.
Marina patrons will have access to sources of drinking water and electricity supply columns.
The marina offers its customers showers, toilets and changing rooms.
The entire complex occupies an area of more than 11,000 square meters. One part houses administrative offices and conference rooms, another part (of nearly 2,000 square meters) is used for winter boat storage (and covered parking for patrons’ cars). It also possesses a boatyard area, with a crane that can be used for hauling and miscellaneous. An experienced team can perform maintenance operations on the live and dead work of boats, as well as maneuvering on the mast of sailboats (assembly, disassembly).
Outdoor parking provides 171 spaces for guests.
Fraglia Vele Marcesine hosts various regattas each year.
It organizes sailing courses for teens and adults and courses for obtaining a sailing license.
It can also host teams of sailors who want to try their hand at training for races and regattas.
The port area also houses a gym, bar and restaurant.
Navene Marina is located in a quiet setting, surrounded by vegetation and protected by the hills behind.
From the port there is a beautiful view of the western coast of Lake Garda.
There are a few camping sites and residences around the port area.
The winds that blow in the port (the Peler from the north in the morning and the Ora from the south in the afternoon hours) make it an excellent reference for sailors.
Marcesine is a municipality in Veneto that is part of the province of Verona.
It is about 60 kilometers from Verona and occupies a strategic position in Alto Garda: in fact, it borders the provinces of Trento and Brescia.
Its territory is very varied: in the lake area there is about 90 meters above sea level, while on Mount Baldo it reaches a height of more than 2200 meters.
It preserves traces of pre-Roman populations (in the 1960s, the remains of a necropolis of probable Paleovenetian origin were found)and traces of Roman civilization.
Important medieval and Renaissance remains are the Scaliger Castle and the Palace of the Captains.
A cable car allows mountain lovers and trekkers to reach Mount Baldo.
The Malcesine area offers some beautiful beaches.
The closest to Navene’s port area is just Navene Beach, which is a free beach made of white pebbles. Because of the winds that affect Navene, its coves are popular with windsurfers and sailors.
Val di Sogno beach, on the other hand, is located in the area south of Malcesine.
It is a free beach made of white gravel and small stones and is popular with water sports enthusiasts.
On the beach there is the possibility to rent bathing equipment (umbrellas and deck chairs).
It is also an easily accessible beach for those arriving by boat, thanks to the presence of several jetties where they can moor.
Nearby are Trimelone Island and Ulivi Island, as well as Sogno Island(which can also be reached on foot during periods when the lake is dry).
The distance between Val di Sogno beach and Navene Marina is about 6 kilometers.
