Porto Cappuccini

Porto Cappuccini is a facility located along the shores of Lake Garda, along the southern coast (in its central part).

It is managed by the Arduin Nautical Group.

It has a limited availability of places (it can accommodate about ten boats at a time), for motorboats not exceeding 8 meters in length, and has shallow depths already at the entrance to the port, which decrease further toward the dock.
The marina has an east-facing opening and is protected by a small artificial reef.

As you approach the landing area, you can locate the marina by eyeing Forte Cappuccini, a tall crenellated building that is located just behind the mooring area.
At the dock, the landing area is equipped with rings and buoys.
A crane that can lift small boats (weighing no more than five tons) can also be found in the port area.

The boat club also offers its guests a garbage collection system.
About 300 meters from Porto Cappuccini, two fueling stations can be found.

On the other hand, the shipbuilding and storage area of Arduin’s boating business offers repair services on any type of engine, work on the hulls and systems (electrical, plumbing) of boats.

Two sheds, on the other hand, provide winter storage for boats and can accommodate up to 150 boats.
Fifty storage spaces are available on the open-air yard.
The nautical center provides hull cleaning, careening, painting, and maintenance services on equipment and engines.
Nautica Arduin is also involved in the buying and selling of boats, engines and nautical accessories, new and used.
In the immediate vicinity of the port area you can find bars, restaurants, campgrounds and paid parking lots.

Porto Cappuccini is part of the territory of Peschiera del Garda, a municipality in the province of Verona. The center of the town is about half a mile from the port.
Its position as a link between the Po Valley and the Alps have made it a strategic point since ancient times: in fact, the first traces of human settlement in the area date back to the Bronze Age, of which a number of pile-dwelling villages have been found, rich in pottery and metal artifacts, which have been included in the UNESCO Protected Heritage List since 2011.

The town is still home to archaeological excavations from the Roman period, fortresses and fortifications dating back to the 16th century, and the 16th-century Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Ash Tree.

An important natural area in the area is Lake Ash, a small lake of glacial origin, which falls under a special protection nature area, both for the richness of its flora and fauna, and for the presence of prehistoric pile-dwelling settlements.

The Peschiera area offers some beautiful beaches.

The closest to the Capuchin port area is the Capuchin beach itself, a light-colored pebble beach with small grassy areas with free access. Here it is possible to rent pedal boats, bathing equipment (umbrellas, beach chairs) and take advantage of the presence of a children’s playground and a bar.

The Mazzini Lakeside beach, on the other hand, is a sandy beach mixed with pebbles, where you can take advantage of the wooden piers for lounging, or rent umbrellas and deck chairs. There is also the possibility of renting pedal boats.
The Mazzini lakefront is easily accessible from the city center and offers a number of small coves where one can take a swim or rest in peace and quiet. However, the surrounding area offers a good choice of commercial activities and is also easily accessible for those who drive here from the highway.

In 2011 (near the Bergamini Fornaci shoreline, not far from Porto Cappuccini) a beach was opened that allows free access to customers with dogs in tow, the Braccobaldo Bau Beach.
