Team SCA e Team Vestas Wind al Salone Nautico di Genova, dal 30 settembre al 5 ottobre

Team SCA e Team Vestas Wind sono due degli equipaggi che hanno gareggiato nel corso della Volvo Ocean Race 2014/2015 e presto si troveranno nuovamente in mare, più precisamente in una serie di regate Pro-Am che si terranno nell’ambito del Salone Nautico di Genova di quest’anno.

Le regate Pro-Am saranno 6 e daranno la possibilità a molti appassionati di ammirare da vicino imbarcazioni ed equipaggi che hanno fatto la storia della VOR da poco conclusasi. Si tratta di un evento di grande importanza: sarà infatti la prima volta in assoluto che i nuovi monotipo Volvo Ocean 65 progettati dallo studio Farr Yacht Design solcheranno le acque italiane.

Chris Nicholson, lo skipper di Team Vestas Wind, si è detto felice di poter gareggiare nuovamente con il Team SCA, tutto al femminile. Per Team Vestas Wind poter regatare in Italia costituisce poi un evento molto particolare: “L’ultima volta che siamo stati a Genova era sulla via del cantiere Persico Marine dove abbiamo riparato la nostra barca, quindi per noi è un evento molto speciale ritornare in Italia per regatare”, spiega lo skipper.
