Si รจ conclusaย l’edizione n. 32ย del Meeting Internazionale del Mediterraneo, tradizionale competizioneย velica riservata ai giovani e organizzata dallo Yacht Club Sanremoย con il sostegno del Comune di Sanremo.
Molto positivo il riscontroย avuto dallaย cittร dei Fiori non solo per la presenza degliย atleti ma anche per i tecnici, genitori e accompagnatori al seguito.ย Da mercoledรฌ 28 a venerdรฌ 30 dicembre le acque sanremesi sono state invaseย dalle barche della Classe Optimist.ย Il regolamento ha previstoย un totale di nove regate (tre al giorno) con uno scarto dopo il completamento della quinta prova.
Un’edizione che haย riunito non solo velisti italianiย ma che ha coinvolto anche ragazzi del Principato di Monaco e Svizzera: quasi 150 gli iscritti tra gli Juniores (nati dal 2001 al 2004)ย e i Cadettiย (nati dal 2005 al 2007). Ad essere premiati, sia per la categoria Juniores sia per i Cadetti, i primi dieci classificati e la prima femminile.
Per quanto riguarda iย Juniores la prima classificata e prima femminile รจ stata Arianna Giargia del Varazze Club Nautico, seguita da Davide Manica dello Yacht Club Sanremo e da Anthony Sanchez della Lega Navale Genova. Quarto Luca Giallanza inseguito da Edoardo Valletta, entrambi del Varazze Club Nautico, sesto Tommaso Cilli (Yacht Club Sanremo), settima Giorgia Taddei (Yacht Club Sanremo), ottavo Noรจ Herrmann (Yacht Club Ascona), nona Matilde Garaventa (Yacht Club Italiano) ed infine decimo posto per Riccardo Seggi (Yacht Club Italiano).
Merita una attenzione particolare ilย premio per il piรน giovane in assoluto tra tutti i concorrenti che va al piccolo Emanuele Schiaffino โ classe 2007 – ย dello Yacht Club Italiano.
Per la categoria Cadetti, รจ stato lo Yacht Club di casa che ha predominato: terzo posto per Gianpaolo Fellegara, quarta classificata e prima femminile Roberta Greganti, quinto Giosuรจ Cosentino, nono Federico Bortesi; ad aggiudicarsi il primo gradino del podio perรฒ รจย stato Matteo Mulone del Circolo Nautico Ilva, secondo posto per Daniele Delfino del Varazze Club Nautico, sesto Alessandro Bosso del Varazze Club Nautico, al settimo posto Lorenzo Predari della Fraglia Vela Malcesine, ottava Anna Cincotti dello Yacht Club Italiano, decimo lo svizzero Lars Dittel del YCB.
Chiudiamo con un altro merito delย Varazze Club Nautico che si รจย aggiudicato il Trofeo Dino Minaglia,ย alla memoria di un grande socio dello Yacht Club Sanremo che ha avutoย sempre a cuoreย lโattivitร giovanile.ย Il trofeo premiaย il migliore Club che, tra gli Juniores, ha ottenuto i tre migliori piazzamenti (Arianna Giargia, Luca Giallanza ed Edoardo Valletta).
