Da austera fregata da guerra della Royal Navy olandese a superyacht di lusso dell’emiro saudita Sheikh Hamdan. Lo strano destino di questa nave che è ai primi posti nella top ten dei largest yachts.

YAS 4Un superyacht infinito. Yas è lungo 141 metri ed è largo appena 15 metri. Ha uno scafo in acciaio snello e affusolato che lascia subito intuire le sue origini militari. Nata come fregata da guerra, è stata varata nel 1978 dalla Royal Navy olandese per poi essere completamente stravolta e modificata nel 2011 dal cantiere Abu Dhabi MAR. Una seconda vita che l’ha resa un superyacht di puro lusso che può ospitare fino a 60 ospiti e 56 persone di equipaggio.

La sovrastruttura in composito e gli interni sono stati progettati da Pierrejean Design, studio parigino specializzato in aerei e yacht. Vista da prua sembra un enorme delfino con quella enorme vetrata dalle forme arrotondate. Lo scafo si abbassa gradualmente fino quasi a sfiorare il mare a poppa. Interni iper moderni e lussuosi con una enorme suite armatoriale sotto una cupola vetrata. A poppa non potevano mancare la piscina/idromassaggio con mini cascatella e, sul ponte più alto, un eliporto.
